FAM JAM 2022
We are so excited to be back with another Fam Jam this year! Our next 5-on-5 tournament will be held Saturday, August 20th at Jefferson High School. Doors open at 11 am with the first game starting at noon. We will be featuring alumni teams from Jefferson, Jesuit, Grant, and Central Catholic. We are super excited this year to also add a Women’s All-Star game. Our goal in coming together for this tournament is to celebrate Erin and the community that has helped establish this foundation.
50 for 50
As much as we would love to be back in the gym celebrating our foundation with another Fam Jam, this year we are hoping to celebrate in a way that is safe for our Fam and community. On September 17th, Erin would have turned the big 5-0. To honor Erin and the work he did, we are looking to raise $50,000 that will go towards our college scholarship fund. We acknowledge that these are unprecedented times we are all living in and would greatly appreciate donations in any amount. We plan to be back next year for another Fam Jam, but until then stay safe and well.
This year, our scholarship has been awarded in partnership with OSAC (Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion). You can find more information on OSAC here as well as more information on our scholarship and awarding here.
For those that are able to participate in corporate matching through Benevity, you can find us listed as Erin Cowan Foundation.

ABOUT THE FAM JAM 5-ON-5 TOURNAMENT
We will kick off the launch of the Eric Cowan Foundation on Saturday, August 31st at Jefferson High School with the first annual Fam Jam 5-on-5 tournament, featuring alumni teams from Jefferson, Jesuit, Grant, and Central Catholic. Our goal in this first year is to celebrate the one-year passing of an amazing father, son, brother, friend, coach, and mentor with hopes of this growing into more than an annual event.
What: 5-on-5 High School Alumni Basketball Tournament
When: Saturday, August 31st
Where: Jefferson High School
Who: Four alumni teams representing Jefferson, Jesuit, Grant and Central Catholic. Players outside of these schools can play, but require at least 5 players to participate.
Cost: The cost of the event will be $25 per player or up to $250 per team. All proceeds from the event will go to the Erin Cowan Foundation.
Our goal is to have a great turnout and honor Erin in such a fitting way. Each year we hope to grow in participation as well as in additional alumni teams. Eventually, we’d like to create an ECF State tournament; which will be a fun event and keep lifelong healthy rivalries alive.
